The UK Sewage Map (https://www.sewagemap.co.uk/) reported that Anglian Water released more raw sewage into Pix Brook in Letchworth on the 3rd September 2025. The release lasted for 42minutes.
Most worrying, the sewage release happened in the afternoon at a location in Norton Common. A favourite spot for dog walkers, where pets are regularly seen in the brook and drinking the water!
Pix Brook is a tributary of the River Ivel. They join together near Stotfold, Bedfordshire. A sewage release into Pix Brook has the potential to impact both the River Ivel and the Great River Ouse!
